IRCTC to unveil its own payment system iPay in August, refunds to get easy

New Delhi: Rail passengers booking tickets from Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corp. (IRCTC) would no longer need any third-party vendor's digital wallet. IRCTC is all set to unveil its own payment aggregator — IRCTC-iPay. The payment aggregator would be available on the IRCTC official website by August 18. It will be providing all payment options such as credit card, debit card, international card, UPI among others.
The announcement was made recently by IRCTC through a tweet. IRCTC has received the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Security Certificate, it wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Besides, IRCTC also provides IRCTC State Bank of India (SBI) credit card, which gives up to 10 per cent value back on AC 1, AC 2 and chair car booking. Furthermore, passengers can save 1.8 per cent transaction charges, exclusive of GST and all other charges, when they book railway tickets on IRCTC.
